”Lauretta Onochie is outrightly undeserving of being an INEC commissioner” – Shehu Sani

Former Lawmaker, Shehu Sani has called on President Muhammadu Buhari’s social media aide, Lauretta Onochie to bury the thought of becoming a commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Recall that Onochie appeared before the Senator Kabir Gaya-led Committee on INEC on Thursday for screening after being nominated by President Buhari.

She went on to reveal that she stopped being a member of the ruling party APC after the election in 2019.

However, Sani has described her statement about not being an APC member as being baseless.

“Lauretta is outrightly undeserving of being a commissioner in @inecnigeria.

“Her presence in the electoral body will undoubtedly question its credibility and independence.”

“Her denial before the screening committee is baseless. She is a partisan agent of the ruling party. Period,” he tweeted.
