Nigerian Basketball team pay respect to late singer, Sound Sultan

The Nigerian Basketball team has paid respect to late Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan who died of Cancer of the throat.

The “Mathematics” crooner died in the early hours of Sunday, July 11, at the age of 44, following his battle with Angioimmunoblastic T- Cell Lymphoma.

Kemi Filani News earlier reported that the singer was buried same day in New Jersey, USA, in accordance to Islamic rites. 

The Nigerian Basketball team has rocked shirt with the singer’s face on it before their match against Australia last night.

The singer who died on Sunday July 11 after a battle with cancer, was a lover of the sport during his lifetime.

The team also observed a minute silence for Sound Sultan before the game last night. Watch below:
