How to know your Glo number?

Several Nigerian subscribers find it hard to know their SIM numbers.

To make this process easier for you, we have developed ways for subscribers to know their phone numbers.

This post is specifically for subscribers of the popular Nigerian telecommunication network, Globalcom, also known as Glo.

Over the years, Glo has built a vast database and remains one of the biggest telecommunication companies in the country.

Glo is known for its cheap data and call rate.

We have been able to come up with five methods to know your Glo number.

1. Checking your SIM pack
This is one of the easiest ways to know your number. Every new SIM comes with a pack that contains the subscriber’s number and a Personal Unblocking Key PUK code.

If you find it hard to know your number, all you have to do is pick up your Glo Sim pack, look at the back of it, your Glo mobile phone number will be written on it.

However, if you are in the categories of subscribers that misplace their SIM pack after purchase, the next method is for you.

2. Calling or Texting a close friend or relative

If you have misplaced your SIM pack, and you have two phones with different SIMs, you can dial one number from one of the phones to know your number.

If you don’t have two phones, you can get someone close by; all you have to do is call their number or text a message to their line from your phone to them.

The receiver would get your call or text message with your number displayed; all you have to do is copy and save it on your phone. 

However, if you are in a state where you don’t have two phones or someone close by, you should try the third method.

3. Dialing a unique number 

This method is also easy; all you need to do is dial the number “1244.”

Once the call goes through, an automated voice will read your number aloud to you from the other end of the line.

At this stage, all you have to is to write down the number as the voice calls it out, or save it or memorise it.

4. Using a USSD code

Aside from dialling the unique number as stated above, you can also make use of a USSD code; all you need to do is to;

1. Take your phone and dial this code *135*8#, then click on send.
2. Immediately your Glo number will be displayed on your phone’s screen. Also, a SMS will be sent to your phone, which will contain the same number.

5. Visiting Glo website

Another method to know your number as a Glo subscriber is to visit the network provider website.
